13 Year Old Commits to USC

Did you hear or perhaps read the news about the 13 year old commits to USC? A few years back I heard that a sixteen year old young male had graduated from the University of California Berkley earning two degrees simultaneously; if I am not mistaken, one was in chemical engineering and the other one in psychology. But when I heard, and was later driven to read, the news about the 13 year old commits to USC, I found it totally off the hook.

Think about it, the United States of the America is the forerunner and goes all out to harness and develop talented individuals in all walks of life, no matter how old or young they may be. And the news of David Sills, the 13 year old commits to USC, is yet another living proof and example of that commitment towards promoting talent without letting age being a discriminating factor.

The 13 year old commits to USC, David Sills has not even graduated from middle school – he is still in the process of completing studies for the seventh grade. But that is not reason enough for Lane Kiffin, University of Southern California’s college football patron & coach, to offer David Sills an opportunity to pursue the remainder of his studies at the mentioned academia on a paid scholarship. What a deal!

And David Sills definitely does show all the right indications of a great player in the making. After all he has the seasoned Steve Clarkson behind him as a trainer.
