Abel Maldonado

Yet another feather added to Abel Maldonado’s already heavily decorated hat. The California State Senator has just been nominated to fill the vacant ‘Lieutenant Governor’ position. The nomination and vacancy come as a consequence of John Garamendi’s (Democrat) election into Congress earlier on during this month.

His nomination came through current California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s announcement during his appearance on the ‘Jay Leno Show’. Coming forth with great words of praise for Abel Maldonado, Gov. Schwarzenegger said he could not think of or find a more suitable and capable person to serve as lieutenant governor. In addition to that, he said Abel Maldonado has a proven track record of putting people’s interest before any other thing.

Both Abel Maldonado and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger share a similar background when it comes to being immigrants. Abel Maldonado’s parents immigrated to the United States from Mexico and bought a small piece of land which they utilized for the cultivation of strawberry.

Accumulating and integrating all their monetary assets, Abel Maldonado’s sent him to study at California Polytechnic State University where he graduated from with a degree in “Crop Science”. It was a result of his endless efforts that the family farm of less than half acre expanded into a multimillion dollar cropping empire spread out over more than 6000 acres.

Senator Abel Maldonado will have to wait a little longer to wear the lieutenant governor’s hat since his nomination is in need of approval from both the Senate and the Assembly. The task does not appear to be an uphill climb for concerned personnel.
