Alexis Arquette

Alexis Argeutte is an American (trans-woman) actor, cabaret performer and musician. Alexis was born (as Robert Arquette) in Los Angeles, California on July 28, 1969. Arquette started her career in 1982 at the age of 12, with her cast in the “She’s a Beauty” a music video of a rock band “The Tubes”.

The first important and significant role of Arquette as an actor was at 22 in the “Last Exit to Brooklyn” as a ‘transvestite’ Georgette. After 16 years of this role, Arquette went through a transition from a male to a female of her own. Her experience of this transition was finally documented in a film, “Alexis Arquette, She’s My Brother”, which was released at “Tribeca Film Festival 2007″.

Arquette’s career in films is mostly limited to the independent or the low budget films. She has also appeared in the “Sometimes They Come Back Again”, “I Think I Do Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror”, “Killer Drag Queens on Dope” and “The Wedding Singer” in addition to numerous other movies.

She has also appeared in some mainstream movies for a supporting role like, Threesome, Pulp Fiction, Bride of Chucky and The Wedding Singer.

Arquette appeared in the two episodes of “Xena: Warrior Princess”, a television show, where she played for Caligula, the “Roman” emperor.

She was a guest judge and a celebrity client on the episode (premiere) Top Design, a television show of “Bravo Channel”. She also appeared in a video “She’s Madonna” which was her ‘cameo’ appearance.
