Yet another murder trial has been placed before the jury in an Italian courtroom. This time it involves US belonging Amanda Knox and her ex Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito. The duo has been convicted of Amanda’s roommate Meredith Kercher’s murder.

6 p.m. EST could prove to be extremely crucial for the couple as their verdict would be declared by the court. In the November of 2007 the 21 year old Brit was found brutally stabbed in the neck and his deceased body was lying on the bedroom of the house she shared with Knox.

The prosecution team is of the view that along with the two university mates there was another guy who had been involved in the plot, and Kercher was hurt during a sex game that turned upside down. DNA’s have also hammered the presence of the trio.

The two convicted are constantly trying to prove their innocence, their lawyers have put forth the argument that DNA proofs were tainted, the knife that has been provided does not fit Meredith’s wounds and the sex game story has been labeled as blasphemy.

Amanda, the girl from Seattle and her ex boyfriend Sollecito has been sent behind the bars after the persecution. They are to remain there as long as the final verdict does not come out. The parents of the murdered Kercher, Arline and John Kercher landed in Perugia on Friday along with their remaining children Layle and Stephanie. The couple were immediately taken into the circle of reporters and photographers but refused to give any comments.

If Amanda and Sollecito are found guilty they could be gifted the maximum punishment of the court that is life prison.
