Benny Feilhaber

On CONCACAF Benny Feilhaber was on top two years back. When he proved himself as a best player in the young national team of U.S., he had become the prominent celebrity in the U.S.A. in 2007 when his team got a tremendous victory over Mexican team; Feilhaber was the key player to win this game. He has given another outstanding performance in Copa America and has proved the world that his time has started.

Then suddenly people saw his down fall when they saw him struggling in a game of 34 minutes in 2008. He did not play his best in that game. But he still has the talent that has taken him to the height of fame in 2007. Now he has recovered back from his bad performances and has become again a prominent personality in the sports world by showing himself in full action in a tournament begin in Costa Rica.

Feilhaber said it was a big surprise for me when officials called me to participate in this tournament. He said I was just hoping that may be I could get a chance in this summer season for any one of the upcoming two big tournaments but I was certainly not guessing that I would be called to pass a qualify test for the first tournament. It is a surprising call for me and I am very happy to hear that.

Knee injury was the setback in his life but now he has recovered quickly from it. Feilhaber has done a surgery in 2008 of his knee. He did a lot of efforts to conquer this injury and he is fit enough to play a part in the Olympics of 2008. But still he could not get a chance in any of the qualifying matches of World Cup playing in U.S.A.
