Bob Ballard

Bob Ballard has a story to tell. And it is a story will not get to hear from the average person. It is the story that is told after going and literally diving into areas no one has dared or thought of going into. And Bob Ballard is not able to go down into the deepest and remotest parts of the world’s largest water bodies just like that. He has extremely expensive and highly advanced technology, gadgets and team of professionals that works around the clock in different shifts. All this resides in Bob Ballard’s home known to the world as the Nautilus. His “home” never sleeps, neither do his colleagues. This is Bob Ballard’s world!

In attempts to get a sneak peak of Bob Ballard’s escapades and nature of work, Lara Logan (the correspondent for ’60 minutes’) was down in the Nautilus with Bob and his crew. Lara had to travel a little on her own before getting to Bob who has been surveying the water bodies between Turkey and Greece. The region between these two nations served as a key trade port in ancient times and is believed to be home to hundreds of ancient ships that drowned succumbing to the vicinity’s rough waters & weather.

Bob Ballard’s crew comprises of engineers, scientists and archeologists. The Nautilus’ high definition navigation panel allows them to identify potential targets. Once a target has been located, 2 remote controlled mediums are sent in to take a closer look through intense cameras.

Bob Ballard is the man who brought the Titanic back into viewing for the world.
