Boone Logan

A lot of trades are taking place in the Major League Baseball in recent days as traded players look to settle down in their new found homes and teams. Some trades have made sense while others have left fans and sports analysts baffled. Unfortunately, the latest trade between the New York Yankees and the Atlanta Braves has fallen into the latter categorization.

In the latest trade off, the Javier Vazquez and Boone Logan duet have been sent off to the New York Yankees as the Atlanta Braces embraced the arrivals of Arodys Vizcaino and Mike Dunn. Boone Logan is a left handed pitcher who was part of the Braves entourage as a back up for the main pitcher. Apparently he will be performing the same duties and role for the New York Yankees now.

This is not the first time that both Boone Logan and his counterpart – Javier Vazquez – find themselves in a trade off as a couple. During last years scouting, Boone Logan and Vazquez were flung to the Braves from their former team, the Chicago White Sox.

Although he did not get to be part of much action during the ’09 season with the Braves, Boone Logan still managed a 1 for 1 record in twenty facades. Even though Logan has proven his mettle previously by moving straight into the Major League Baseball, what remains to be seen is if he can grow his role and take over responsibilities of starting pitcher for the New York Yankees.
