Bullitt

“Bullitt” is a thriller film of the United States of America which was released in 1968. Main cast of the film was included Jacqueline Bisset, Steve McQueen and Robert Vaughn. Peter Yates was the director of the film and Warner Bros. took the responsibility to distribute the film. Screen play of the film “Bullitt” was written by the Harry Kleiner and Alan Trustman.

The story of the film was based on the story of “Mute Witness” which was a novel written in 1963 by Robert L. Fish. Music of the film was given by Lalo Schifrin which was a combination of percussion, brass and jazz music. One “Academy Award” was also won by this film for the category of “Best Film Editing” which was given to Frank P. Keller.

“Bullitt” was also nominated for the award of “Best Sound”. Another award “Edgar Award” for the category of “Best Motion Picture Screenplay” was also won by the writers of the film Harry Kleiner and Alan Trustman in 1969 which was presented by the “Mystery Writers of America”. A scene of car chasing from the streets of San Francisco is probably the best scene of the film which is remembered by its fans.

“Bullitt” was also selected to keep in the “National Film Registry” of the United States in 2007 by the “Library of Congress” being a historically, culturally or aesthetically important film. This film is ranked among highly influential movies of the United States in several ways. The Bay Area of the San Francisco has been used extensively in the whole movie.
