You know if any one of us said to others that they did not have another “being” dwelling inside of them or that they do not talk to their inner self, I would not be surprised if someone from the crowd stood up and smacked this person hard! We all have alter egos! But the way Garth Brooks took his alter ego to the next level is quite amazing and spectacular. The dedication and devotion he has attributed to his alter being is incredible.

The dichotomy between Garth Brooks and Chris Gaines (his alter ego) is like two different seasons. Brooks’ original genre of music has always been country. He enjoys the love and support of hundred and thousands of fans who relish his versatility with country music. And perhaps that is one of the main reason his experimentation with Chris Gaines backfired on him.

Garth brought Chris Gained to “life” in the alternative rock genre. Moreover, Chris Gaines was “born” when, apparently, the real Garth Brooks was losing track of his real identity as him and his first wife stepped on the road towards divorce in 1999. As Brooks battled issues in his life, the story of Chris Gaines is also narrated in a similar fashion as the rock star is depicted to have had a difficult and traumatic life all along from childhood to coming of age.

Chris Gaines “released” a self titled album in ‘99 that enjoyed prominent spots on Billboard. Garth Brooks “created” Chris Gaines as part of his creative pursuits with the movie titled ‘The Lamb’.
