Colleen Larose working for Al-Qaeda Network has been charged by a US court for planning to kill a Swedish cartoonist and wage jihad against the western world. Larose was arrested in last October from Philadelphia. The Justice Department has not set any date for her arraignment and she is kept in the Federal Detention Center at Philadelphia.

Colleen Larose and her five accomplices are reported to recruit men via internet to participate in Jihad in Europe and South Asian Countries. The group also employed women with international passports who could travel freely in Europe to support the on going Jihad.

The activities of Colleen Larose were first noticed in the summer of 2008. She used the nick of Jihad Jane to make comments on you tube expressing her wish to help muslims. She was engaged in electronic correspondence with five other members of the group for two years. The group shared a desire to engage in jihad and attain martyrdom. They raised funds and collected funds and arranged women to marry men to acquire nationality of European countries.

Colleen Larose is said to have received an order to kill the Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks and she made it her goal. She went to Europe to establish contacts with the target. In a message to her accomplice she wrote that she has become close to the target. Larose could not accomplish the task assigned to her as she was arrested within weeks after dispatching the mail.

She is an American citizen and lives in Montgomery County near Philadelphia.
