Contessa Brewer, a news anchor, is working for MSNBC currently. MSNBC, a “cable news channel” is an American based news channel which is both available in USA as well as Canada. The name MSNBC is the combination of MSN and NBC, whereby MSN stands for Microsoft Network. Contessa is an American anchor, who was born in Parsonsfield, Maine, on March 16, 1974. She is currently living in New York City. Contessa attended SI Newhouse School of Public Communication, Syracuse University and graduated with a B.S. degree in the broadcasting journalism.
She used to work as weekend anchor and reporter for WTMJ TV in Wisconsin when in September 2003; she joined as news anchor at MSNBC. From 1997-99 she worked for KMIR TV in California and KRNV TV in Nevada. Journal Communications owned both WTMJ and KMIR TV. In 2005, Contessa also served for a short time period on a nationally syndicated radio show “Imus in the Morning” as news reader. Before the cancellation of Verdict with Dan Abrams in 2008, she worked for it as a news reader.
Contessa along with Dan Abrams discussed the Winners & Losers of day and reading various responses from the readers. Contessa is also the host at MSNBC Live programmings in weekdays on 2 p.m. with co anchors on rotations.
While introducing Jesse Jackson, a civil rights activist on MSNBC on October 21, 2009, she mixed Jesse Jackson with Al Sharpton, for which she has apologized.
During an interview with Sarah Palin in June 2009, Contessa frustrated and to stop the personality clash so resulted she turned the mic off to create a silence.
