Curry Glassell

In what could prove and turn to be a brutal legal battle, Curry Glassell is all charged up to draw fists with a dozen veteran lawyers who are busy themselves polishing their courtroom gear and ammo. The stakes are high as the two sides will be disputing a will by the late philanthropist Alfred C. Glassell Jr. pertaining to the division of his estate that amounts to a mammoth half billion dollars.

Curry Glassell is the late Glassell’s daughter who passed away last year in the October of 2008 at a ripe age of 95. The oil pioneer behind the establishment of Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corp and the Glassell School of Art. The 500 million dollar assets that he left behind comprise of investments worth millions in bonds and stocks, oil leases, ranches spread over thousand of acres and antique pieces from Columbia and Indonesia.

The 52 year old mother of two, Curry Glassell will also be going head to head with her family in the same trial; her mother Clare Attwell Glassell and younger brother Alfred Glassell the third. If Curry Glassell triumphs, both brother and sister will gather approximately 100 million dollars and land each. However, should the opposite be the case, either individual would wind up with a meager 3 million dollars each. She also faces threat of losing the 3 million dollars if the jury establishes her to have contested in ill faith.
