David Obey

For more than four long decades, David Obey had been the voice of the locals & natives of the state of Wisconsin at Capitol Hill. He had not only served those that elected him well, but also did a splendid job of serving the United States of America. But there comes a time in every one of our lives when we feel that you just do not have any more of it left to carry on, and that is exactly what David Obey was found quoting when he told the people present at his press conference that he was tired all the way to his bones.

Being associated with the political rink for more than four decades, David Obey had moved up the ranks and began serving the role of Chairman for the Appropriations Panel. His work tenure makes him the 3rd most tenured figure on Capitol Hill. And even though it might be the end of a great legacy, his departure from the political arena marks the elevation of challenges that are now facing the

Democratic faction of Capitol Hill. One less of their populace means more aggression from the opposition i.e. the Republican faction.

But it is not smooth for the Republicans either; they have witnessed twenty of their unit members announcing their retirements. The number for the retiring Democrats comes up to twenty one including David Obey. So it will be one hell of an action packed election which will surely bring new changes to the political scenario in the country.
