Devon Hollahan

An entertainment filled weekend gone absolutely haywire. That is exactly what happened with Devon Hollahan and Josh Friedman, two young Americans working in Prague as English language instructors, when the former simply “vanished” after both were on their way back from a music concert in Frankfurt (Germany).

According to an email sent by Devon’s father – Jeff Hollahan – to the local media in Germany, Josh and Devon had bought return tickets from Prague to Frankfurt and back. According to excerpts from the conversation that took place between Josh Friedman and Mr. Jeff Hollahan, Josh said that they had attended the concert and then joined in on the post concert party. They consumed beer and alcohol over there and then headed off to the hostel they were staying at in Frankfurt. A little taken over by the booze, both Americans found it challenging to determine the way back home.

At this point, Josh approached a few passersby to get directions. In that minute or two that elapsed, Josh says he turned back and found Devon was not there. Thinking Devon would join him at the hostel, Josh went on. But when he noticed Devon had not returned, he headed for the train terminal in hopes of catching up with his friend. To his disappointment and worry, such was not the case.

Josh knew he could not hide the news anymore. So, first, he logged missing individual information with the American Consulate & local law enforcement personnel and then called the States to impart the news to the Hollahans. The search still persists for the young Devon Hollahan.
