EJ Henderson Broken Leg

E.J. Henderson, the twenty-nine year old star linebacker for the popular Minnesota Vikings team, recently got injured during an NFL (National Football League) game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, the 6th of December at the University of Phoenix Stadium. He’s been reported to have sustained a broken femur in his left leg as he was attempting to tackle Tim Hightower of the Cardinals but instead accidentally collided with teammate, Jamarca Sanford, in the finishing minutes of the fourth quarter. He had to be carried off on a motorized cart after the doctors examined him on the pitch and determined the severity of the situation. His younger brother, and teammate, Erin Henderson, who was on the bench for the match, accompanied him off the field.

The Minnesota Vikings coach, Brad Childress, issued a statement saying that Henderson would undergo surgery and therefore stay the night in Phoenix. The Vikings suffered a big defeat with the score of 30-17 at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals. E.J. Henderson is one of the most prominent players on the Vikings squad and this injury may as well leave him sidelined for the rest of the season. Henderson has been a vital asset to the team and a more than likely reason for the defensive success, although this is the second consecutive year that he’s had to be put out of the game due to an injury!

Henderson was drafted by the Vikings team in the National Football League Draft of 2003. He used to play college football at Maryland.
