Elliott Yamin

Elliott Yamin was born on 20th July 1978 and he is a singer by profession. He was born in Los Angeles in United States of America and was a contestant at American Idol. When Elliott Yamin was younger he had a surgery where his eardrum was replaced and at the age of sixteen he got diabetes. In the year 2007 on 20th March Elliot’s first album “Elliott Yamin” was released under the “Hickory records” label. His next album which was called “Fight for Love” was released in the year 2009 on 5th May under the same label.

Elliot gave his audition for American Idol’s fifth season in Boston which is in Massachusetts; in the audition he sang the song; “A song for you” by Leon Russell. Elliot’s audition did not appear on television but later when they were showing the “rewind” the audition was aired. Stevie Wonder who appeared as the guest tutor told Elliott Yamin that he should have a music career. It was on the 17th of May in the year 2006 when Elliot was eliminated, he was among the finalists before getting eliminated.

Elliot sang many songs in the contest which include; “if you really love me” by Stevie Wonder, “heaven” by Bryan Adams, “I don’t want to be” by Gavin DeGraw , “it had to be you” by Frank Sinatra and many other songs. His final performance included; “open arms” which was the choice of Clive Davis. Elliot performed “what you won’t do for love”; this song was Paula Abdul’s choice and the last song was “I believe to my soul” and this was the choice of the contestant. Elliot was in Chile when an earthquake of huge magnitude occurred in the country.
