Also referred to as Anogenital warts, anal warts, venereal warts and also condyloma acuminata, genital warts is a highly infectious STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) that is caused by particular sub-categories of HPV (Human Papillomavirus).

If your partner happens to be infected and your skins come in contact with each other during anal, genital or oral sex, then you can very well become infected with genital warts as well. The most frightening thing about this particular Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) is that it can develop in to either anal cancer or cervical cancer. Resembling tiny stalks in appearance, genital warts transpire in the form of a bunch, can be either extremely

small or the larger masses can be spotted in either the penile or genital region. In females, the STD can occur on the inner and exterior surfaces of the vagina, at the opening to the womb or in and around the anal region.

While the frequency of occurrence in males is almost the same, it becomes a little more difficult to spot the symptoms when it does. However, when it does happen, the genital warts can be spotted forming a mushroom like cluster on the head of the penis. So the next time you feel like going for that fling, remember the warts!
