Haley Barbour

Haley Barbour is one of the famous American Politician, born on 22nd October 1947. He is currently serving as Governor in Mississippi. He was born in Mississippi and is younger among all siblings. His father was lawyer and he saw him last time when he was only 2 year old.

After completing his education he took admission in University of Mississippi and became member of “Sigma Alpha Epsilon”. It is the Greek institution of under graduates situated in North America. He was more interested in working for campaign of Richard Nixon “The 37th President of America” so he skipped his 1st semester and never earned his bachelor degree. He also worked on census procedure when he was 22 years old in Mississippi. Then he joined a law school of Mississippi worked harder and earned Juries Doctor degree and joined his father’s firm in Mississippi State, Yazoo city.

He not only struck himself with law career but also made a space in lobbying career. He met with Ed Rogers in Washington DC in 1991 and laid a foundation of Barbour and Rogers in Washington DC. Rogers was a layer who worked in the administration of George W. Bush. In 1994 another partner named as Lanny Griffth also joined them. They worked hard and served their ambitions and goals and hold their hands on the heights of success with passage of time. A famous magazine in 1994 Fortune magazine highlight their firm as second most influential firm in the state.

He was elected as chairperson of National Republican Committer in 1993. He achieved a national success in serving Hurricane Katrina incident. In 2003 he ran a campaign in Mississippi for governor post and won election. His talent and unbeatable efforts persuade people of Mississippi to believe on him and walk under the guidelines of his governor.

In 2007 he was selected as governor in Mississippi hut he never left his profession of lobbyist and lawyer. He was selected as a leader in Republic Governors Association in which he served a lot and made his name among all associations.

But he was criticized by many critics and was charged for earning profit in Katrina incident. These charges also resulted as serious effect on his public image. But he never stepped back and always fought for his fortune. On a ratio more than 40% voted in favor of him while 37% dislike him.
