The United States of America consists of fifty states and one federal district. The president of the U.S.A is Barrack Obama and the capital of the country is Washington D.C. The U.S is said to have the largest national economy in the world. English is the most common language spoken in the U.S and Spanish comes second on that list. The list for the happiest American states is out and the results might shock quite many people around the globe including the Americans.

Louisiana tops the list on number one position of the happiest American states, on number two there is Hawaii and then on number three it is Florida. Following this are the other states such as Tennessee, Arizona and South Carolina. With states such as Michigan, Connecticut and New York being towards the end. But the main question is that why are some states said to be happier than the others? Why is it that the sunny states rank highest when it comes to happiness? The answer is pretty simple and should not be very hard to guess. The states where people are happier, they have a reason to feel good. And these states also give us an insight into the states’ schools, climate, air quality and crime rates.

The foundation of these ratings was a survey which included more than a million people. The states which are said to be happier have people with advanced studies, good jobs. To put it in a simple sentence, they are satisfied with their standard of living. The needs and requirements of not just a single person but the needs of many residents were met which is why the state seems to be happy with the way they are living. It is just not about being wealthy; it is about the things that make you feel happy. Being wealthy is a part of it but it doesn’t make up the whole criteria.
