Harland Williams
Harland Williams is a comedian, actor and a radio personality of Canadian origin.
Harland was born to John Reesor Williams in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1962. John Reesor Williams, a lawyer, is a former Canadian politician in Ontario. John served a member of “Legislative Assembly of Ontario” (1975-1985) and was also a cabinet minister for a brief time period in Frank Miller’s government. John was attached with Progressive Conservative Party. Harland’s mother, Lorraine, was a writer. Before coming to Los Angeles to pursue his career in the comedy, Harland served as forest ranger for almost 5 summers. Harland has also illustrated and written eight books for children on numerous topics. He has also toured the world with the National Geographic.
Harland started his career with appearance in Dumber and Dumber in 1994. So far Harland has appeared in a number of movies including Freddy Got Fingered, Half Baked, Down Periscope, Superstar, The Whole Nine Yards, Big Money Hustlas, Sorority Boys, and Employee of the Month, Rocket Man and there’s something about Mary. In animated movie Meet the Robinsons, he voiced for Carl where as in Robots her provided voice of ‘Lug’.
Harland has also performed several times in Just for Laughs, the “Montreal” comedy festival as a stand-up comedian and many others as well. He won the ‘Blue Door Award’ for his appearance in the Thank God you’re here in April 2007.
Harland appeared in an episode of ‘Anne Robinson’ hosted ‘The Weakest Link’ a comedian special in 2001. He has also appeared for many times on the Tom Green’s House Tonight.
