Heroes Volume 6

The 4th season of NBC TV’s Heroes has concluded but with a message “to be continued”. The Heroes volume 6 will bear the title “Heroes Brave New World”. The rating graph of the Heroes has touched the bottom so it doesn’t seem wise to continue a low rated series. The season 4 was a big disappointment with the faithful audiences who had been watching Heroes since day one. The superhuman qualities the myths and the characters all failed to attract old or new audiences. Thanks to the creative mind of the writer Heroes season one grabbed the attraction of TV watchers because of effective characterization, interesting plot with a lot of emotions, tensions and the superhuman side. Season two was ill fated as writers went on strike. The short plots of season three bored the audiences and the ratings came down.

Heroes volume 6 is a bad idea unless the production team is sure to regain the ratings. The writer must come up with some extraordinary ideas keeping in mind the likings of audiences. Sometimes people don’t like role reversals and they want to see the bad man doing the worst things. So changing the traits of bad guys is not going to pay. People think certain traits are tailor made for some characters and they will not act natural otherwise.

Some commentators think that NBC should start a new series instead of continuing a low rated series.

I think NBC should take a public poll before indulging into Heroes volume 6.
