Jayson Williams

Life does not seem to be getting any better or easier for Jayson Williams even after the arrival of the New Year. The latest episode in the long list of problems faced by Jayson Williams falls the aftermath of an automobile wreck that leaves the former National Basketball Association professional dangling in the midst of a Driving Under the Influence (D.U.I) & Driving While Intoxicated (D.W.I) charges.

It all happened on Tuesday first light when Jayson Williams was found on the passenger side of a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) that had been rammed into a tree in the Manhattan area. New York Police Department officials rushed to the scene of the wreck and found the driver seat empty. According to bystanders, Jayson Williams was alone in the SUV and that no other individual had been seen exiting the vehicle.

Moreover, Jayson Williams snubbed the notion of having to surrender to a breathalyzer test the NYPD crew was trying to run. After being taken to the nearest medical facility, Jayson Williams was affirmed to be in stable condition; both mentally and physically. Even though the breathalyzer examination could not be performed, NYPD officials are bent that Jayson Williams had consumed alcohol prior to getting behind the wheel.

This would be the second major trial that Jayson Williams could possibly be going to. The 7 year old trial, which commenced in ‘02, is still pending for a verdict in which Williams is facing charges of murder when his driver expired as a consequence of bullet wounds shot from Williams’ shotgun.
