Joey Heatherton

Born on the 14th day of September in ‘44, Joey Heatherton has enjoyed her career as a performer through the various facets of media entertainment – TV, dance floors, Broadway Theater and music compilations.

Christened Davenie Johanna at the time of her birth, Joey Heatherton was raised in the Rockville Center hamlet of New York. By virtue of her breeding ground, she is a native of Long Island. From a very tender age, she had inherited the talent for acting, performing and entertaining through her father Ray Heatherton who was not only a TV initiator but also a famous Broadway personality himself.

Throughout her flamboyant career that lasted well over 3 decades, Joey Heatherton made her movie acting debut in the 1963 thriller “Twilight of Honor” in which she characterizes a young liberal spouse and is charged with her husband’s murder. Her first three movie roles had her entangled in murder cases; “My Blood Runs Cold” ‘65 and “Where Love Has Gone” ‘64 being the other two.

Apart from movies, she was also cast in various TV plays & shows the like of “This is Tom Jones”, “The Andy Williams Show”, and the children’s favorite pick “The Merry Mailman”. Over the years, she got to appear besides renowned TV & movie icons such as Nick Adams, Troy Donahue and Frank Sinatra Jr.

As a dance artist, she would entertain and perform for the Vietnam War veterans becoming an instant darling with them thanks to her minimal clothing.

Joey Heatherton enjoyed a brief 3 year wedlock union with Lance Rentzel in ‘69. The couple divorced after the latter was charged with indecent exposure in front of a minor.
