Justine Bateman

Everybody is familiar with the name of Justine Bateman but scarcely a few people know how she ended up in the filming industry. Her source of inspiration had been her younger brother Jason Bateman who had become a part of the team for “Little House on the Prairie”. Her pro career started at the age of 11, and at 15 she had become Mallory Keaton, the air-headed sister in the “Family Ties”. J.B was chosen for the act twice. Adding feathers in her hat she also started taking part in the heart melting “How Can I Tell If I’m Really In Love?” with her brother and Ted Danson. The show had been directed by the Bateman Senior.

J. Bateman’s first stair towards a pro career had been architected by NBC when in 1988 they offered her the role of a front girl in a minor rock group. But fans hardly showed any interest in watching her performing the Rollin Stones song. The title of the movie had been “Satisfaction”.

Her participation in the movie “Men Behaving Badly” with Rob Schneider had been subbed half the way in 1990. Later her name was placed on the roster for “Out of Order” along with greats Felicity Huffman and Eric Stoltz. She does appear on the screen now and then. Also working at the self propitiated fashion designing center “Justine Bateman Designs”.

Bateman entered the toughest ten years of her life in 1993 when she started suffering from bulimia, anorexia and compulsive overeating. Her debt goes to the re born Christianity. Bateman is now a paid speaker for the topics of fitness and health at different venues.
