Karla Homolka

The Canadian version of the outlawed American couple Bonnie & Clyde, Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo created a media frenzy unlike any crime bust had ever done before in the North American continent. The horrifying stories unearthed after the rapist & murderous couples’ arrests sent shock waves through out the international media.

Determined to please her rich accountant fiancé and to makeup for the fact that she wasn’t a virgin when she met Paul, Karla Homolka was convinced by the former to seduce her younger sister Tammy and “offer” her to Bernardo. With her experience of working at a vet clinic, Karla deciphered the best way to go about doing this without anyone finding out was to drug Tammy and the upcoming family Christmas dinner.

Executing the arrangement according as planned, halothane was slipped into Tammy’s drinks and the young teenager was drugged multiple doses. After satisfying his own lust and forcing Karla to perform sexual acts on her own sibling, the whole “experiment” went wrong when Tammy woke up all of a sudden. Choking on her vomit, the teenage suffocated to death.

Paul was very annoyed at how the situation had ended. Once again, to make it up to the wealthy accountant, Karla “arranged” for another teenage Jane as a “surprise present” for her significant other. The brutal Paul enjoyed every second he raped Jane.

Karla’s arrest and plea bargain in 1991 was followed by Bernardo’s arrest 2 years down the road in 1993. The latter was convicted in the year 1995 receiving a lifetime imprisonment verdict. Karla however was released in 2005 after serving slightly over a decade in prison.
