Kelsey Grammer

Luckily for Kelsey Grammer, the bad patch in his flamboyant career did not come to last for long. After a brief unfruitful relationship with ABC network, the veteran actor has been called on to perform on a much bigger stage (literally). The following year will witness Kelsey Grammer starring in a Broadway musical production many have known over the years as “La Cage aux Falles”.

The original ‘La Cage aux Falles’ is a French play that was written many years back in ’73. Since then it has been incorporated as a part of multiple stage acts around the world – being played in the Broadway line up in ’83 – and has also served as the story theme for movie productions as well; particularly in 1978. The play has won huge acclaim and was presented with 6 Tony awards.

Kelsey Grammer was associated with the “Frasier” comedy act for a more than decent 2 decades in which he acted the role of Dr. Frasier – the psychiatrist. That was probably his only prominent on-screen role as he tried to regain his ground through very short lived success with ‘Hank’; another comedy series he wished to pursue but was cut short by ABC network.

Yet the experienced is no stranger to performing arts. He was lent his voice to the character of ‘Sideshow Bob’ in the Simpsons show and has exhibited the sharpness of his vocal chords through songs in the ’07 production ‘Anastasia’.

For Kelsey Grammer, in his words, getting the opportunity to perform on Broadway is a dream come true.
