LaLaurie House

LaLaurie House has been believed to be the most troubled location in the history of French Quarter. If we go through the haunted history of this historical house which is situated in New Orleans then we will came to know that LaLaurie House is on the top of the stories of haunted houses throughout the city. It sadly describes the wicked excess of slavery in a horrific and grisly manner because it has been believed the most dreadful haunted location in the city through several generations, over the 150 years.

The ghostly tale dates of this LaLaurie House started back in 1832 when Dr. Louis LaLaurie and Delphine (his wife) shifted in the French Quarter in their mansion. They were very social and soon they became renowned for their deep interest in the social affairs of the community and were respected in the community for their prominence and wealth.

Soon her wife (Madame LaLaurie) became a well known personality in the city as the most significant French-Creole woman. She was also responsible to handle the business affairs of the family and carrying a great style in her personality. Her daughters have also got their fame as the finest dressed girls among the wealthy community of the New Orleans.

Today the LaLaurie House has been restored and renovated. It has been used as the luxury apartments in the city which is for those wealthy people who can afford to live in these apartments. It looks that the residence in these apartments are very easy today than it was around one hundred years ago.
