Breast cancer has claimed the life of Leah Siegel ESPN producer. She was diagnosed with the deadly disease in 2008 after the delivery of her son. The low number of platelets was noticed by the doctors and further investigations revealed a 4th stage cancer. She underwent chemotherapy. Dallas community supported her during the treatments and helped her in raising funds and joined her in walks for the cause. She started a blog and updated it regularly. She was based in Dallas and played an instrumental role in raising awareness about the disease and fundraising. ESPN played a video to pay tribute to her. The video is available on line. Her husband Eric Loehr wrote about her death on her blog. He thanked for the support of friends and family and requested to donate money for the cancer cure instead of sending flowers.

Leah Siegel ESPN producer had the honor to be one of the 1st women to produce sports programs. She had received three Emmy awards for her work. Her coworkers remember her as a good spirit who cherished good things in life. Her family has announced two services in her memory. The 1st service will be held on Friday while another is planned to be held in September that will focus on her life and work.

Leah Siegel ESPN producer was a popular figure in sports circles. She started her career in 1989 and joined ESPN in 1996. She had married twice and has left behind three kids and a husband among the aggrieved.
