Lester Holt

Lester Holt, an American “news journalist”, is an anchor for “Today” and “Nightly News”, the NBC’s weekend editions. Holt also serves for Nightly News at NBC and TODAY, a weekday program with Brian Williams as a fill in anchor. Holt’s contributions for twenty four hours cable news of NBC and MSNBC are in addition to the above mentioned responsibilities.

Holt is famous for his reporting from some of the most hot spots in the world. During the war between Hezbollah and Israel, Holt reported from Lebanon being in the front line. He also covered Hurricane Katrina and Rita in Mississippi and Louisiana and Tex respectively in 2005.

In New York City in 1981-82, Holt represented WCBS as a reporter. Later in 1982 in Los Angeles, he was a weekend anchor and reported on KNXT. He came back as a weekend anchor and a reporter to WCBS the very next year. He moved to Chicago in 1986, where he remained an anchor for the evening news for fourteen years. In this way Holt’s career has been attached with reporting and anchoring over the period.

In 2000, Holt moved to MSNBC and in 2005, Holt joined NBC News as a full time employee, where he has paid his duties for various programs. Holt has also hosted for “The History Channel” for various conspiracy theories of 9/11. In Summer Olympics 2008, Holt was a sports desk reporter for news coverage for the NBC Sports.

Holt also appeared in some films as well including The Fugitive in 1993, Miracle on 34th Street in 1994 as well as Primal Fear in 1996 in addition to his appearance on numerous television shows.
