Lincoln Tunnel

A good news for riders going through the Lincoln Tunnel as the tunnel has been reopened after some time. Lincoln Tunnel which was closed due to a pothole on the road has been function for the traffic including busses and cars. The pothole, which was creating a huge crowd on two land road, was repaired urgently by the emergency services. The tunnel is supposed to be used by the passengers heading to New Jersey Turnpike, a long distance which is shortened by this way.

There was news that traffic is slowing at a very low speed due to a pothole which was developed due to unknown reasons, creating a jam and havoc. The emergency services were called who started working on Lincoln Tunnel pothole, which was found around exit no 15E, at around noon. It took them not a long time to repair the hole and they finished repairing till 6:00 pm.

ABC also reported that long Lincoln Tunnel has been closed due to a small construction which is meant to facilitate traffic flow on the road. Turnpike Authority of New Jersey also reported about the incident and further added that two lanes station were closed due to a construction started at noon. Since the emergency repair started, there were some diversions for the traffic.

Only busses were allowed to ply from Lincoln Tunnel and cars and other vehicles were caused to move to the George Washington and Holland Tunnel. Even though, the closing period was short, but still some people who were unaware of the construction suffered.
