It is not so fulfilling and content life behind the label “Drugs, Sex & Rock n’ Roll”. Thus proves Mary Weiland’s autobiography titled ‘Fall to Pieces – A Memoir of Drugs, Rock ‘n’ Roll and Mental Illness’. The narrative that made it to book shelves nationwide on Tuesday the 10th of November depicts and exclusive tale of what it was really like to be living in wedlock with Scott Weiland – front man and vocalist for the Stone Temple Pilots.

Published under her complete name Mary Forsberg Weiland as the author, the book provides insight into her disparaging marriage, substance abuse and mental infirmity. Life was not always green and utopian while living with Scott Weiland. For a major chunk of their union, Mr. & Mrs. Weiland were hooked on heroin & crack (cocaine). Mary Weiland narrates how both she and her husband Scott had to be dressed in long sleeve shirts at a party to cover and hide the excessive needle marks & scars on their arms resulting from morphine (heroin) abuse. The get together was hosted by the heart throb actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

The memoir also recounts the fateful ‘Weiland Wardrobe Bonfire’ episode that resulted in Mary Weiland being sent away to a mental & psychiatric illness institution. As the book has it, in March of 2007 Mary Weiland went on an emotional outburst frenzy, pulled out her husband’s wardrobe and lit it all on fire in their residence’s driveway. Following that, she was identified with bi polar disorder.

As of late ’07, the Weiland’s are in the middle of getting their divorce finalized.
