Masiela Lusha

Masiela Lusha is an American actress and scriptwriter. She was born on the 23rd of October 1985 in Tirana, Albania, as an only child to Albanian parents Daniela and Max, who named her Stacey Haglund. After moving to Budapest, Hungary, and then Vienna, Austria, the family finally settled down in Michigan, USA, when Lusha was aged seven.

Lusha graduated from high school at just 15, and went to Glendale Community College in California, from where she transferred to the University of California – Los Angeles at age 18. She graduated with a major in English.

Lusha’s first film appearance was in A Father’s Love, released in 2000. She played the leading role, Lisa, a girl who recollects memorable times spent with her father. She also starred in Summoning in 2001, Las Muertas de Juarez in 2002, and Cherry Bomb in 2004.

Lusha is best known for her role in a 2003 television sitcom by the name of George Lopez, in which she played Carmen Lopez, a 13 year old girl. She was 16 at the time she auditioned. She played 102 episodes for the show. In the same year, Lusha also lent voice credits as Nina in an animated television serial called Clifford’s Puppy Days.

Other notable film appearances by Lusha include Time of the Comet and Muertas. She has also guest starred in Law and Order: Criminal Intent. In 2009 Lusha played Sharon in Blood: The Last Vampire.

Masiela Lusha lives today in Culver City, California, and owns her own production company, Illuminary Pictures, which she founded in 2007.
