Latest reports about the currently free agent Matt Barnes claim that this excellent player looks like to join the team of Los Angeles Lakers. It is being said that he is currently preparing to go back to his city Los Angeles where he will be signing a contract with the Lakers who is a well-known team of NBA as they have won NBA Championship for two times.

Matt Barnes is currently playing on the position of forward. It has been announced by the team management of Los Angeles Lakers that the free agent Barnes has been signed by them on Thursday but still the terms and conditions of this agreement have not been disclosed by any party of the contract. Barnes got much fame among the people being a product of UCLA.

Last season of Matt Barnes was being played for the team of Orlando and 58 games were being started by him in that season for his team. It was said by him on his Twitter account in the start of this week that he was planning to go to Toronto but later on it was announced by him that the deal could not finalized between him and the team. Now Los Angeles Lakers surfaced for grabbing this free agent into their squad who has been playing NBA for around seven years.

If the parties successfully reached to signing the contract then it would be the eight stop of this forward player Matt Barnes in NBA. 7.3 are the average per game points of this veteran player along with a maximum per game average of 10.2 which was achieved by him during the season of 2008 – 09 for the team of Phoenix.
