McLean Bible Church

McLean Bible Church is an evangelical Christian and non-denominational mega church. It has several campuses through out the metropolitan area of Washington DC. Five local families had founded this church in 1961. Main campus of the McLean Bible Church is located in Vienna, VA. Lon Solomon who was converted to Christianity from Jewish is the most Senior Pastor of the church.

Lon Solomon had joined as the fourth pastor of the McLean Bible Church in 1980. Solomon has also served to the Committee for Intellectual Disabilities of the President of the United States and he was appointed to this committee by the president of the time George W. Bush. He is also the member of the Jews for Jesus’s board of directors.

Around 13,000 people attend the three campuses of the McLean Bible Church on each weekend across the Washington DC and also there are around 1,000 visitors per week on the website of this church. The main reason behind to form the McLean Bible Church is to make an influence by spreading the message of Jesus Christ on secular Washington DC.

If we look for the history of McLean Bible Church then we came to know that five local families joined together in 1961 to found this church from a non-denominational church. In 1964 the church moved into its own facility and for the next two decades it remained there. There were only three pastors between the period between 1961 to 1980 of the Mclean Bible Church.
