Michael Grimm

Michael Grimm has bright chances of winning the Republican primary for congress. The primary election is scheduled for 14th September. Grimm is backed by Mike Long the chairman of NYS conservative party and conservatives from Brooklyn. He got the support of Rudy Giuliani (former Mayor of Staten Island) who appeared at a fund raising event in Staten Island. The GOP committee of Staten Island has endorsed Michael Allegretti for the same seat.

Michael Grimm spoke briefly about the major challenges faced by United States including defense of the country, revival of the economy and unemployment.

Michael Grimm was recruited as a US marine at the age of 19. He served in the Persian-Gulf war and went on reserve forces to continue his education. After college he enrolled himself to ‘Federal Law enforcement Training Centre’. He was commissioned as a US

Marshall in FBI after training. He continued with his education and completed BBA and earned a Law degree as well. He played an instrumental role in uncovering corrupt practices at the Wall Street. He worked as an undercover FBI agent to investigate corrupt politicians, money laundering and other corrupt practices.

After a service of 16 years he ventured into business and is currently working with a bio-fuel company.

He has worked in Armed forces and FBI to serve the nation. Now he wants to become a part of the decision making legislature of the United States. He is being considered the strongest contender against McMahon. McMahon had voted against the health bill in 2009.
