Another National Football League superstar to lose a close family member – after Chris Spielman lost his wife Stephanie a few days back, it is now Drew Brees (the New Orleans Saints’ quarter back) who lost his mother Mina Brees. Mina Brees’ professional life seemed to be following the steps of her personal life. After relations became tense between Drew & Mina Brees, the NFL termed his mother’s presence as non-existent for him.

Toxicology & autopsy reports from the coroner’s office have recently been made public after the 59 year old Mina Brees passed away three months ago. And as shocking it might be for anyone, Mina Brees’ expiration has been attributed to a prescription drug OD (overdose).

As a consequence of the overdose information, Mina Brees’ death has now been called a suicide. She was last seen alive at her close friends’ residence in Grand County where she allegedly consumed more than the prescribed level of medication.

An attorney by profession, Mina Brees was well known in the region. But lately, various accounts started floating in according to which Mina Brees was contacting various eatery vendors and proposed the rights to “Chicksports” in lieu of a twenty five thousand dollars payment. Her brother, Marty Akins, was silent on her suicide account. He solemnly stated it was a tough moment for the family.

According to the coroner Brenda Bock, toxicology tests take about 90 days before their reports can be confirmed. No professional or personal rivalry has been associated with Mina Brees’ passing away.
