Talk about a straight ticket to solid and permanent fame & glory. That is exactly what American based Indian designer Naeem Khan got when he dressed the First Lady, Michelle Obama, in his latest masterpiece. It was a perfect blend of talent and taste, with Michelle Obama’s fashion sense & esthetics and Naeem Khan’s natural flare for making his clients’ beauty radiate and emanate beyond the usual.

The occasion was President Obama’s first state dinner. The guests were India’s PM (Manmohan Singh) and his wife Gursharan Kaur. The natural choice of the event was a culturally traditional attire and Naeem Khan was the right pick. He clad the First Lady in a crème colored ball gown that bore the designer’s signature use of beads, glasses and other special treatments. The bangles on her left wrist matched the gown as did the silk cloth draped across her shoulders. Not to leave any stone unturned in dressing right, Michelle Obama sported floppy ear rings to match the bangles and drape.

The First Lady’s attire became such a sensation that Larry King had to get Naeem Khan on his show and ask him the thought and motivation behind his design for the premiere. Naeem was humble to say he wanted the First Lady to dress in something that was simplistic yet bore the Indian culture’s resemblance and his label’s distinctiveness.

Naeem Khan is a favorite among the celeb and royalties circle. His prominent clients include the Jordanian Queen Noor, and even pop stars such as J-Lo and Beyonce.
