Also dubbed “The Jewish Elvis”, Neil Diamond has enjoyed a loyal fan following along with an illustrious career that has lasted for almost over four decades now both as a music performer and song writer.

Born to a Brooklyn resident Jewish family on the 24th day of January in the year 1941, Neil started his music career at a tender age of 17 in the year 1958. As a thriving pop music personality, he has achieved a great number of hits on the international platform from the 60s to the 80s. Popular themes that can be found in Neil Diamond’s music are “a longing for home, a grave sense of loneliness, a fascination for tremendous freedom and lastly, but surely not the least, the craziness associated with love.

According to stats, Diamond had 115 million global record sales which include 48 million record sales back home in the United States. As the third most thriving Adult Contemporary music performer ever, the only two figures to precede him are Elton John and Barbara Streisand when you look at rankings according to the Billboard charts. With his name added to the Songwriters Hall of Fame in the year 1984, Neil has worked with labels the like of Columbia, MCA, Uni and Bang. A multi-talented musician, he can play both the piano & guitar backing them with his baritone vocals.

Despite the fact that his record sales were on the decline following the 80s, it definitely has not been enough to keep Diamond from going on with his successful globe trotting tours continuously and maintain a fan following that is extremely loyal.
