NetJets Inc. is a Berkshire Hathaway company. Columbus OHIO has entered into the list of all those big banners around the world which have been under the severe influence on Global Economic slump. Having encountered the problems of financial and economical crashes company decided on Friday the September 11 ’09 to layoff nothing less than 200 employees locally. For Netjets being a 7000 employee company worldwide ,this particular step of this company in order to overcome the impact of economic slag would reduce the workforce to 5% globally and an approximate of 10% if considered the local operations of the company mainly in Columbus.

According to a company spokesperson employee layoffs have come out to be the most appropriate and affective way out of this current tough financial situation the Aviation Industry is going through. The management decided to remove certain job positions basically from Admistration department and marketing department. Besides practicing other cost reduction practices like avoiding Jet purchases and Deliveries, this layoff strategy has been a common practice for aviation industry companies to control their internal operational overheads. At Netjets the company although facing a hard economic phase, does bother about the leadoff employees and hence announced it on this Friday about the layoff for making people prepared for coming changes.

Company is working on humanitarian grounds in order to help the leadoff employees by providing them with Severance Packages and Outplacement Services.

The NetJets Fractional Aircraft Ownership program is made available through the NetJets family of operating companies like Netjets Aviation, Netjets Large Aircraft Company, Executive Jet Management, Netjets international Etc.Netjets is the one company which came up with the concept of Fractional ownerships of Jet planes and other big aircrafts. This concept allows the Netjets owners to enjoy the whole ownership of the aircraft baring only a fraction of actual cost.
