Paulie Malignaggi

Finally revenge has been gotten by the Paulie Malignaggi and the world has known that this great man still has left a lot. Malignaggi is basically from Brooklyn and he took revenge of his contentious fight that was fought on August 22. He lost that fight against Juan Diaz at the Toyota Center in front of a gathering of over four thousand nine hundred fans on Sunday night at the UIC Pavilion. He lost by a common decision of the panel judges. Juan Diaz is from Houston.

He won the junior welterweight title of NABO through this victory. He had a feeling about his last fight that the result of the judges was not fair in that fight and he had expressed his displeasure before the previous fight about the selection of the panel of judges. The last fight was won by Juan Diaz with a common decision and the fight score was declared as 118 – 110 by Gale Van Hoy (one of the judges).

The score cards of the remaining two judges were also closer to the above-mentioned score. A complained was lodged immediately after the fight by Paulie Malignaggi that he has concerns about the decision of the panel judges. The complain was strong enough to get an approval for the re-match. The score of this second fight was declared as 116 – 111 by all the three judges of the panel in his favor. The panel of judges included Michael Permick, Thomas Miller and Mauro DiFiore.

Malignaggi said in an interview immediately after the fight that Juan Diaz is a good fighter who gave me a tough time. He further added “now I feel that I have been justified and my inner feeling getting better that I am a good combatant than Diaz. He continued and said that I believe the team of Diaz was wrong that they have finished Paulie Malignaggi.
