PGAD Syndrome

The PGAD Syndrome stands for ‘Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder’ and is also referred to as the ‘Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome’ (PSAS). Patients and individuals who suffer from PGAD are likely to experience unplanned, wanton, meddling and unrelenting ambiance of genital stimulation. Not always falling in the category of an orgasm, PGAD can also result in swelling, lubrication or puffing of the groin region convoyed by congestion of the breasts.

This condition can not be associated with hyper sexuality (also known as ‘Nymphomania’). PGAD is experienced by females. Attacks of PGAD answer in episodes of depression, anxiety, guilt, shame, sadness, isolation, frustration, gloominess, feeling vulnerable and helpless. Most of the times, patients suffering from PGAD rise to hot flashes in the morning and sentiments of abnormality. What is surprising is the fact that individuals suffering from PGAD depict a history of being victimized in sexual manners.

A few possible & potential remedies for the Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder have been floating around. Firstly, the pain associated with PGAD can be diminished through proper massaging of the pelvic region. The massaging should preferably be administered by a professional physio or healthcare provider and the patient should be observant of the tension areas the massage helps to relax and loosen up. Secondly, medication should not be used without the proper consultation of a doctor since there is no one ‘Fix It All’ drugs out there. Additionally, ladies should make out what prompts the PGAD to set off. And lastly, there is no reason to feel that you are alone in this situation since PGAD is experienced by a huge percentage of the population.
