Raphael Saadiq

Music has its own language. there have been many talented and good singers which the world have seen but being a singer, lyricist, composer and music producer is a great achievement. Raphael Saadiq is one such name who is multi-talented and famous for his singing as well as compositions and background scores.

Raphael Saadiq is not the singers original name, his actual name is Charlie Ray Wiggins. Many speculations were made that maybe it is due to religion change that Raphael has changed his name but the singer made it clear that it has nothing to do with it. Raphael Saadiq started his career as a singer by being a vocalist in the 1980s band Tony !Toni! Tone! that was famous for its R&B music. The band’s first album got a good response. The group was very famous in the 80s and 90s. But in the mid nineties the band members decided to work separately and then Raphael became a part of another group Lucy Pearl. This band of singers was yet another success and got many nominations and a lot of appreciation for their songs.

After a single album together the band Lucy Pearl also separated their ways. Raphael has also come up with three solo albums namely ‘Ask of You’,’ Ray Ray and ‘The Way I See it’. Out of these the first and third are a great success. His third album got him many nominations and critical acclaim. The songs are also included in movies like Bride Wars and Secret Life of Bees. Raphael Saadiq is a highly talented singer with a lot of music albums, singles and movie albums on his credit. These days he is plannig to be a part of all the big music festivals in the year 2010.
