Robert Loggia

Robert Loggia director, television and film actor was born on January 3, 1930 in Staten Island (New York). He was also nominated both for the Emmy Award and Academy Award. He is well known as the character parts specialist. He is of Italian American descent. The name of his parents is Benjamin Loggia (which was a shoemaker) and Elena (which was a homemaker). Sicily, Italy is the birthplace of his parents.

He completed his early education from the Wagner College and also studied at the University of Missouri where he completed his journalism degree in 1951. He has served in the Army of United State before starting his career on stage, television and in movies as a supporting actor. He has also served in Panama Canal Zone in “Southern Command Network” as an anchor of TV and radio.

First appearance of the Robert Loggia was made in the television show produced by Walt Disney in 1958. He has also starred in “T.H.E Cat” which was a short series. He has appeared in several productions of television in which “Target: The Corruptors!”, “Overland Trail”, Charlie’s Angels”, “Break Point”, “The Eleventh Hour”, “Custer”, “Combat!”, “The Rockford Files”, “Starsky and Hutch”, “Columbo” and “Wild Palms (miniseries of Oliver Stone) are also included.

It was announced on October 26, that he has been cast in “Men of a Certain Age” which was a production of TNT network. It is also reported on TVGuide.com that Robert Loggia will play a role of Artie (Joe’s father) in “Ray Romano” in its episode of January.
