Saints Parade
The New Orleans Saints Parade will be one of the most memorable for the city, her team and supporters; the big Super Bowl win comes 5 years after the city was hit by Hurricane Katrina and left the Saints without a home ground for all of 2005 – nonetheless, the stadium was rebuilt as was the team’s morale and it has all led up to the Saints Parade scheduled for the 9th of February 2010 at 5pm; it will start off at the Carnival Route and end at the Convention Centre
Saints won their very first Super Bowl game after being 6-10 at half time but ending it at 31-17, making it one of the Saints’ biggest comebacks in history – the big win certainly did not come easy for them. For many, their win represents the hopes and aspirations of millions of Americans: the city of New Orleans badly needed something to lift its spirits and that is exactly what her team has provided her with!
Brees is probably right especially since insurance money or Govt loans have not come in to many people leaving them between a rock and a hard place; however, they most certainly can enjoy and take delight in the victory that the Saints have provided them with!
The Saints Parade is being prepared for by numerous pre-parade parties all over the city – the city already has many, albeit modest, garden parties going on and the Saints Parade will be one for the history books especially since this city has not had much to celebrate in a long time!
