Scott Podsednik

A deal to acquire Scott Podsednik has been made by the team of Dodgers just before three days to end the deadline of non-waiver trade. It has been said by Ned Colletti, general manager of team, that the team does not want to add another pitchers in their line up but they want to target a safeguard player just in case if Reed Johnson along with Manny Ramirez (famous outfielders of the team) could not manage to come back to squad for a long term period.

Therefore the team management went for the Scott Podsednik (safeguard) who was previously playing with the team of Kansas City Royals. This deal has been finalized on Wednesday and they traded out Lucas May (tripe-A catcher) and Elisaul Pimentel (Class-A player) to acquire this safeguard. He is currently 34 and has spent 10 successful seasons in major league with 5 different teams.

Scott Podsednik was also included in the squad of World Series in year 2005 for the team of Chicago White Sox. He has .280 hit in his overall professional career. It is being expected that the team of Dodgers will be joined by him on Thursday and he will be the part of their finale series squad which is going to be played in San Diego.

Colletti further added that we will get speed with the addition of Scott Podsednik in our line up. He continued that he is known among people being a good hitter and he is the person who can adjust himself into left or center fields accordingly.
