STS-130
Today, NASA has delayed scheduled launch of Space shuttle Endeavor STS-130 due to stumpy cloud upper limit from Kennedy Space Centre.
According to NASA officials, Space shuttle Endeavor’s STS-130 is expected to be launched on Monday. The expedition will be initiated at night time. This tour will last for thirteen days and mission will be accomplished by shuttle Endeavor’s STS-130 to provide and connect seven windowed cupola and US Tranquility to the International Space Station.
The node 3 module is also recognized as Tranquility would be the last component connected with the International Space Station. The new pressurized section will give new accommodation for the astronauts and provide assistance to the environmental regulatory and life sustained systems already installed on the Space Station. These systems include water recycling, oxygen generation and air revitalization.
The cleanliness and waste section will be shifted to other areas of Space Station. The connection position of Tranquility would be earth facing side of the unity joint. The new components will assist the crew staff by providing extra port to the visiting space Shuttle and astronaut’s vehicles. Tranquility for NASA was made by Alenia Space in Italy with agreement under European Space Agency.
Tranquility’s measurement is twenty one feet long in length and fourteen feet in width. Its weight is more than 27,000 pounds. The node was handed over to NASA in 2009.
Cupola and Tranquility both will be attached to the International Space Station during the expedition of the Space shuttle Endeavor STS-130.
