Tariq Aziz

Tariq Aziz served as one of Saddam Hussein’s closest administration officials. Not only did he stand out for his close affinity to the reigning Saddam Hussein, but Tariq Aziz was also a prominent member due to his religious beliefs being a believer in the Holy Trinity and also for his eloquent and effortless fluency with spoken English.

The troubles keep on piling up for Tariq Aziz, as the now seventy three year old, is reported to be in a medical facility administered by the United States Armed Forces after going through a brain stroke. Son Ziad Aziz said that he and his family had come to know of his father’s prevailing health condition through a cell companion of the senior. Tariq Aziz is said to have fallen down flat on his cell bottom and lost the capacity to communicate.

According to Lt. Col. Pat Johnson – spokesperson for the United States Army in the State of Iraq – Tariq Aziz is showing signs of improvement. Never the less, he is being supervised very closely.

It is not clear whether he will be kept at the medical facility or will be relocated back to Camp Cropper.

As part of the ongoing trials that Tariq Aziz is a part of, the ex Foreign Minister was recently impounded with fifteen years of incarceration. And that is not the end of it all as there are many other cases and charges pending against the seasoned politician. It remains to be seen if his health will allow him to proceed with matters or not.
