Ted Leonsis

Theodore (Ted) J. Leonsis is well known as one the leading businessman of the country. He is a pioneer in internet industry. Ted Leonsis has been an executive at AOL for a long time where he held various leadership positions like president and vice chairman. He spent a long period of about 15 years at AOL. During Ted’s management career with the company, AOL reaches at the peaks of its growth as well as financial success. Ted is also a producer in film industry, an investor, a board member and a well know philanthropist. In addition to this, Ted is the owner of professional team in sports.
Ted in 1983, after surviving in an airplane’s crash landing decided to think about the life more seriously. He prepared a draft listing 101 things and decided that he will do these things in his life. So far he has completed most tasks of his self prepared list.
Ted is the founding chairman of Snag Films, a start up of Web2.0, which he has launched recently that lead the global web based audience to various non-fiction films. Ted is also chairing the “Clear spring Technologies” which is providing widget services (cross platform), the “Revolution Money” a platform for payment and various credit cards services, based upon Web2.0.

Ted is the founding chairman of “Lincoln Holdings L.L.C.” and the owner of majority shares as well, which is an entertainment and sports company that also holds rights of ownership in various Washington DC entities which includes 100% ownership of “Washington Capitals” and “WNBA s Washington Mystics”. In addition to this, Ted is also the shareholder and member of board of directors of various business entities.
