The Who Lead Singer

Roger Harry Daltrey, The Who lead singer was born in Hammersmith (London), United Kingdom on March 1, 1944. He is a well-known actor, songwriter and singer of the country. He is also well-known as the lead singer and founder of “The Who” which is one of the notorious rock bands of the England. His musical career was maintained by him being a single artist.

The Who lead singer (Daltrey) has also worked for the film industry and appeared in several film, television and theatre roles. He has also produced many films. He spent his childhood and young age in Acton and it was the place where he met with his rock band fellow John Entwistle and Pete Townshend. His parents have three children (1 son and two daughters).

The names of his two sisters are Carol and Gillian. The name of his father was Harry Daltrey who worked with a manufacturer of water closet and the name of his mother was Irene Daltrey who was told by the doctors later on that she could not have more children as she had lost one of his kidneys in 1937. The Who lead singer Daltrey completed his early education from the Victoria Primary School and later on from the Acton Country Grammar School.

John Entwistle and Pete Townshend were his school mate in the Acton Country Grammar School. Time Magazine had honored the Roger Daltrey (The Who lead singer) in 2003 by saying him a European Hero for his efforts made for the “Teenage Cancer Trust” and for some other works of the charities.
