Tokyo Police Club
The Bonnaroo fever keeps growing in intensity and passion with every passing moment that draws us closer to the mammoth show that is all set to entice and entertain a capacity crowd on the second Thursday that will fall in the mth of June later on in the summer of this annum. One act that is creating an even larger hype than the parent occasion is the Tokyo Police Club.
A musical foursome that originates from the region of Newmarket from the Canuck province of Ontario, the Tokyo Police Club is formed by Dave Monks (the lead vocalist and bass guitarist), Graham Wright (on the keyboards), Joh Hook (on the lead & rhythm guitars) and Greg Alsop (on the drums & percussions). And it all started off for the Tokyo Police Club ensemble in a simple spirit of having a good time.
After parting ways from their previous musical aspiration known as “Suburbia”, the four young musicans had gotten together at one of the member’s house for a jamming session. This was almost sixty mths back. Their musical compilations started to get noticed and attracting a sort of a cult following. As their popularity and recognition radiated to other parts of the area, the Tokyo Police Club started to perform on a professional level in the metropolis of Toronto.
As their fan base grew in Ontario, their common Alma matter – McGill University – invited the Tokyo Police Club to come over to the province of Quebec and stage a live performance in the metropolis of Montreal.
